About Us
Coaching Children in a Safe & Friendly Environment
We are a friendly and family orientated girls youth football club in Watford, Hertforshire.

Our Story
Established in 2019

Since our formation we have grown from one team to four, and we are now entering into the 2023/2024 season with teams aged from under 9's to under 13's.
We are a club that is run by volunteers, all of whom have been DBS checked and all Coaches have FA qualifications in Coaching Football.
We aim to provide football in a safe & friendly environment to female players from all ethnic backgrounds and any ability (including those who have not played football before). We do not aim to recruit only ‘elite’ players, but we prefer to develop players into being the best that they want to be, and helping them to develop their sporting and social skills by allowing them to express themselves and make their own decisions. Our coaching style is to guide the players on football fundamentals and then challenge them with questions and match realistic scenarios to aid in their understanding of the game.
By allowing them to learn and grow within a group and have the confidence and ability to express themselves, it will improve their social skills and aid their development in everyday situations in life and help them to achieve their goals.
Nickname - The Phoenix
Our club badge features a Red Phoenix. It represents the rising of our young fledgling female players from the very beginning, and flourishing into strong confident footballers. Under the guidance of coaches that pride themselves on the development of all players, we'll see our players flourishing and growing into amazing young ladies who are ready to face all challenges on the football pitch and within society.

We also adopted the song 'Phoenix' by American female artist, Olivia Holt. The lyrics to the song encapsulates the rising of our young stars and is such a motivational and uplifting song.

Phoenix - Olivia Holt
Why you hanging in the background
Like a painting that's been turned 'round
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Why you humming with your mouth shut
It's like Aretha singing backup
Come on, come on, come on, come on
You know the words, go write your song
Make it loud, It's your time now
Can you feel it now?

You got the heart of a phoenix
So let them see you rise
Hey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey
Let them know that you mean it
And let them see you rise
Hey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey

You feel it burn when you're knocked down
But let the fire be your crown
Come on, come on, come on, come on
Come on, come on, come on, come on
So go and claim your kingdom
Then slay all your demons
Come on, come on, come on, come on
I know you know where you belong
Don't look now, But you're off the ground
Can you feel it now?
You got the heart of a phoenix
So let them see you rise
Hey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey
Let them know that you mean it
Let them see you rise
Hey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey

Let's see you show how high you can go
Flying right past the ones who said no
Let's give them all one hell of a show
Hey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey
You got the heart of a phoenix
Let them see you rise
Hey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey
You got the heart, you got the heart
You got the heart of a, heart of a, hey
You got the heart, you got the heart
You got the heart, you got the heart, you got the heart of a, heart of a
You got the heart, you got the heart, you got the heart of a, heart of a
You got the heart, you got the heart, you got the heart of a, heart of a

You got the heart of a phoenix
So let them see you rise
Hey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey
Let them know that you mean it
Let them see you rise
Hey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey
You got the heart of a phoenix
So let them see you rise
Hey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey
Let them know that you mean it
Let them see you rise
Hey-ey-ey, hey-ey-ey
