​
It was the perfect end to a great season for the young midfielder, who took on a more central role and her performances have gone from strength to strength.
​
It was a typically high tempo display from Ams, breaking up the play, supporting the forwards, making recovery runs and pressurising the opposition.
​
To round it off, Ams scored her first goal of the season to set a benchmark for next year. She also took on a personal challenge from her coaches and showed great dribbling skill on the ball.
​
A really pleasing display that bodes well for next season in 11v11 format.

A string of fine saves and confidence throughout the game earnedd Millie the accolade, including a point-blank 1-2-1 save that she had to make in the latter stages to keep the scores even at that stage.
​
Although her team didn't get the outcome they wanted and hoped for, they have secured promotion and Mille's performance was as sturdy and reliable as she has been all season.

Deborah was in devastating form with five goals in 25 minutes with a range of different strikes. Her energy and team work also played a huge part in the team's result.

Taya has been an absolute rock this season and so talented and composed on the ball. Capable of playing in defence, midfield or attack, she just naturally adapts to any position due to her natural ability.

In what has arguably been her best and most consistent season so far, Mills just gets better and stronger (and taller) each year. Working hard on her own personal development, always trying new skills and tricks, and never stops running or working for the team. Mills captained the team for the match and led the way with a first half double. Two great composed strikes. Laila put in a fantastic and energetic display on the right of midfield and then later in a defensive role. Enjoying the freedom and space that the roles are giving her. Millie is continuing her excellent development as a top goalkeeper. Composed, confident and learning all the time, she is brave, strong and determined.

Fastest Goal of the Season?
You'd be mistaken for thinking that to go and see an early goal recently, a trip to Vicarage Road would be a good bet. But our U13 Fire team got off to a blazing start in their fixture on Saturday at home to St Albans Wildcats
​
Within 14 seconds from kick off and some neat passing from Mills, Fatima and Lydia, the ball was then fed out to the advancing Laila, and she drove towards goal and struck a sweet right foot shot to put the home team ahead.
​
Some parents had barely finished their morning coffee and bacon roll from the Sun Sports clubhouse before LGDA were leading!
​
The lead may not have lasted as long as we wanted and the result may not have gone our way, but that quick passage of play, communication, passing accuracy and the finish was something that the early starters will cherish. Hopefully there will be more to come from Laila and the team again soon.
